Humbled and honoured to receive the CeeD Net Zero Heroes Award 2024 on behalf of Net Zero Nation & Community Ecosystem.
Congratulations to all the finalists who participated in this fabulous event organised by the team at CeeD (Centre for Engineering, Education and Development). A special shout out to Ailsa Reliability Solutions Ltd., our founding cohort member, who won the circular economy award. Well done Jamie and team!
It means a lot to be recognised for the hard work that the team has put in over the last three years. I am especially proud to receive this award from Chris Stark at Climate Change Committee who has done so much to help the UK Government and Parliament extend its climate ambitions over the last six years.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to my team and the companies on Net Zero Accelerators around the UK, local authorities, enterprise agencies, and government departments who have placed their trust in us to help them, their supply chains, and their communities become Net Zero certified aligned to the Science Based Targets. This would be a very long message if I had to mention everyone!
I also want to acknowledge our partners at CBN Expert and Net Zero International and HALO #RockMe Workspace, who have been instrumental to this success and our pilot cohort Amy Britton, Scott Direct, Ceteris (Scotland) Ltd and to Ailsa Reliability Solutions Ltd. and Booth Welsh (now leading the North Ayrshire Accelerator). They have helped inspire hundreds more companies to start their Net Zero journey.
I want to highlight the outstanding leadership shown by Jakki Ireland at Forth Ports Limited, who are hosting the Grangemouth Supply Chain Accelerator cohorts, helping create clearly defined pathways for the companies in the Scope 3 supply chain.
The key to the Net Zero Transition is Collaboration, Building Confidence in the Business Community, and Focusing on Tangible measures of progress.
